My Week That Was #19

Monday was a bank holiday but Dad2BabyInsomniac had to work. It was raining and there were no groups on so all in all it was a very boring day!

I think Tuesday was equally as boring as I can’t remember what we did but I do know that I went to college in the evening. I have ONE MONTH left to hand in all my work which is freaking me out a bit. I have three assignments left to complete and really I should be doing them now instead of writing this but blogging is far more interesting than the digestive system.

On Wednesday I drove over to Dad2BabyInsomniac’s sisters house for lunch. It was hammering down with rain again so we stayed in and ate lots of food whilst the kids played with play dough. I didn’t get home until nearly 5pm so Dad2BabyInsomniac came home to fishfingers, alphabites and baked beans for dinner. He is a VERY lucky man.

On Thursday morning my friend picked us up and we went to try a new playgroup. It is held in a village hall and I find that village groups are usually bigger and less busy than the ones in the town where we live, which is better now the kids are older and need to run around. We weren’t too sure about it when we got there but once we saw the snack of cheese, biscuits, crackers and five types of fruit we were won over!

They need to do something about their doll selection though….

I have a whole post coming up about Friday because I went to Yeo Valley Farm for the day with a few other bloggers. We had such a good time and the sun shined all day. Plus we were cooked lunch by the hottest chef in the world, pictures coming up in the next post!

Saturday was Cybher day. I woke up at 5.30am, got ready as quietly as possible and then left for the train station. I had a great day, the venue was amazing and it was lovely to see Lucy and Katie again. I also met and spent most of the day with Bryony and Alice who were both really lovely. Afterwards I went for dinner with Lucy and Katie, it was great to be able to talk about blogging with people who understand it! Unfortunately I missed the last train back to my station by THREE MINUTES so I had to get on one to somewhere else. This meant Dad2BabyInsomniac had to wake up Iyla and come and pick me up, then we had to take a detour back to where my car was so I didn’t get a ticket. We didn’t get home until midnight so I was absolutely exhausted but it was worth it.

Dad2BabyInsomniac had to wake up at 6.20 on Sunday to go and race his motocross bike so there was no chance of having a lie-in but although he woke Iyla up, luckily she went back to sleep again until 8am, the extra hour of sleep was very much needed. We drove up a bit later to watch the race as it was only about half an hour away from where we live. Had a really nice day as the sun was shining for the first time in weeks, it was still bloody freezing though, what has happened to our Summer?!

Oooh who is this hottest chef?? Cybher looks like it was a lot of fun. I am both excited and nervous about Britmums now. If that goes well then I think I might attempt both next year!

Laughing at the “wasn’t me” photos ha ha! So funny. I am very much looking forward to your Yeo valley post and am genuinely sorry I wasn’t able to go in the end – got my weekends muddled up! Baby brain strikes again.,
I bet Cybher was amazing! It sounded fan from all the tweets I read.
    And those dolls – spooky!!

EEEEEEEE those dolls are scary- I have a thing about dolls….ahh I am reading this in bed so am going to probably get nightmares tonight now. Your not copying me at all silly, don’t worry about that, the collage looks good. Except the girl with the fat arms in the photo (thats me by the way!) Damn I need to get my bingo wings sorted! x

I’m gutted that I missed Yeo Valley, I love yoghurts and hot men who cook so it would have been so good. Thanks for sharing your week.
