My Week That Was #27

I can’t remember what we did Monday or Tuesday which probably means it was nothing very interesting, but here are some photos instead…

On Wednesday I went up to Bristol to support all the breastfeeding mums who were standing up to a cafe who asked a mum to move into the corner. I blogged about it here  - Why You Should Never Ask To Put Baby In A Corner – it was amazing thing to see and I’m really glad I went.

On Thursday, Dad2BabyInsomniac’s sister came over for lunch with her two little boys.

Friday was my birthday. Due to Dad2BabyInsomniac’s broken leg, the rubbish weather and my car being broken down it was pretty crappy but I am nearly at the age where it is ‘just another day’ so I wasn’t too bothered. Dad2BabyInsomniac did manage to fix my car though (he used to be a mechanic), which given the fact that he can only stand on one leg was pretty impressive. Some of our friends came over for a bbq in the afternoon then some of our other friends came over in the evening.

On Saturday we were going to take Iyla to the movies for juniors session at the cinema but my car needed new tyres and it took longer to fit them than we thought so we missed it. Iyla was starting to get a bit ill so we just went home and chilled out.

Iyla fell asleep on me which was lovely as it never happens unless she’s ill.

On Sunday we were supposed to be going up to Bristol to meet my Dad and Sister for lunch but Iyla wasn’t well enough so we had to cancel. After a long sleep she perked up a little bit and the sun came out so we popped up to a local motocross race then came back and had a BBQ. The weather was totally unexpected and would have been really enjoyable but Iyla was crying non-stop for over an hour because she was feeling ill and tired. I actually put her to bed at 5pm, I was worried that she would wake up at 3am thinking it was morning but she made it until 6am which was way too early, but not too bad.
