I didn’t do much on Monday and Tuesday, apart from work. I have set up a blog for the company I work for - The Party Packs Blog, in case anyone was wondering
Working from home is great (apart from the distractions!) and it’s flexible which means that I can fit it in around looking after Iyla and Dad2BabyInsomniac. I am so happy that my blog is starting to lead to more opportunities, especially in the area of paid work.
It has also led to another exciting little opportunity, as after having a Skype interview with Jo Gifford, who blogs as Dexterous Diva and owns her own social media and design agency, I am going to be her new intern. I think this will be really good experience and there is the chance of it leading to some paid work too which would be amazing.
On Wednesday, one of our friends from Bristol came down with his little boy.
On Thursday we went over to Dad2BabyInsomniac’s sisters house for lunch.
On Friday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon we were going to do something but it kept raining so other than driving over to B and Q so Dad2BabyInsomniac could buy a hacksaw, we didn’t do much!
On Saturday we took Iyla to the cinema for the first time. Cineworld do a movies for juniors session and they only charge one pound which I think it such a bargain. We let her watch the trailers of the three films they were showing and she chose Alvin and the Chipmunks. Surprisingly she was entertained for an hour which was a lot longer than I thought she would be. By the time we left she had started getting down and sticking her head into the row in front and shouting ‘WHAT’S A GOING ON’ which had us in hysterics but I doubt the people in front agreed!
I am hoping that the more we take her, the longer she will be able to sit still. Afterwards we went for lunch at Pizza Hut.
On Sunday we drove up to The Mall in Bristol to meet my dad and brother for lunch. We went to Nando’s then had a walk around a few shops. It was really nice to see them both, then my brother came back down with us as he is going to stay with my mum for a couple of weeks. We stopped at Toys R Us on the way back as I wanted to buy Iyla some more ‘boyish’ toys – I have an upcoming post about this so I won’t say too much!

Wow thats great that you are getting some opportunities thanks to your blog!!
I laughed at the WHATS A GOING ON? Bit how funny i would have felt a mix of amusement and guilt for the other cinema goers!!
Great photos you can clearly see from
Them that she is a right cheeky madam!!
