On Monday I did some work and stayed around the house.
On Tuesday I went to a little village play group. I have been a bit rubbish at doing things with Iyla lately so I made an effort to do more this week. I saw one of my friends who I haven’t seen for ages so that was nice.
On Wednesday, Dad2BabyInsomniac’s sister, mum, nephews, brother and his girlfriend came over for lunch.
On Thursday I went to meet a few of my friends at our local indoor play centre. It was really busy and I saw quite a few people who I haven’t seen for ages which was nice. In the afternoon the sun came out so we drove over to Weston Super-Mare as Dad2BabyInsomniac needed to take something back to a car shop. As we were there we went for a walk up the pier and a run around on the beach which Iyla loved. Although she did lose her sun hat to the wind! When we got back we had a BBQ, followed by strawberries and ice-cream which was very yummy!
On Friday we went to another play group. It was the last one before the Summer holidays so everyone had to bring a teddy and they laid out some food so we could have a teddy bears picnic. In the afternoon we went shopping to find Iyla a new sun hat and I saw this jumper which I just just had to buy!
On Saturday we went to Iyla’s cousins birthday party at an indoor play centre. Afterwards it was really sunny so we went and had lunch in a little village tea rooms which we happened to find on the way home.
Then in the evening we went to Dad2BabyInsomniac’s Dads house for a BBQ. It was lovely and Iyla had a great time, eating everyone’s sausages and running around on the grass with her cousin.
On Sunday, my brother came over and we drove to the zoo. He lives with my dad, three hours away, so we don’t get to see him very often. It turns out that Iyla has the attention span of her father and after looking at each animal for all of five seconds she would announce that she wanted to go look at ‘something else’!
In fact I think the thing she enjoyed most was walking over the ‘wobbly bridge’ ten thousand times!
By the time we got back we couldn’t be bothered to cook so we got an Indian take-away.
It has been a good week and the sun is still shining!

Hehe, little daredevil! It’s funny what keeps them entertained! Her outfit is so cute, the hat is gorgeous!

It’s been great to be out and enjoy the sun hasn’t it? And I do think your new jumper is very you!! X
That barbecue is yum. You clearly know how to throw it together.
